Is there anything such as a PCGS UK coin?
I have never seen a graded UK coin, is it illegal to grade a Britannia or Sovereign?
Does the technology exist? Would the grading system differ? for example PCGS100 (since academic grading in the UK is 70 perfect as apposed to 100 in the US) |

Re: Is there anything such as a PCGS UK coin?
Sure, PCGS will grade UK coins. The technology certainly exists: it's a cutting edge process whereby a guy with a light and a loupe examines the coin :bear_tongue:
The fact that the UK uses a 100-point grading scale is irrelevant to PCGS, they use the 70 point Sheldon system and any coin they grade will be assessed based on the standard 70-point criteria. |
